About Health Story
A small publishing project covering one narrow subject: what the everyday supplements sold for metabolic wellness actually claim to do, and what the research behind them will and will not support.
Why this website exists
Blood sugar has become one of the most crowded shelves in the supplement aisle, and one of the noisiest corners of the wellness internet. Some of what is sold there rests on genuine nutritional research; a great deal of it rests on a headline about that research, repeated until the caveats fall off. Health Story exists to look at that gap plainly — what a formula is designed to support, what its ingredients have actually been studied for, and where the honest limits sit.
We are a consumer information website. We do not manufacture, formulate, sell, ship or support any supplement ourselves, and we do not practise medicine or dispense health advice.
The product category we cover
Our coverage focuses on dietary supplements marketed for metabolic wellness — formulas built around botanicals and minerals such as chromium, berberine, cinnamon bark, gymnema and alpha lipoic acid. InsuLeaf is the product featured on our homepage.
This is a category where careful expectation-setting is not optional. A dietary supplement is not a medicine. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, it does not replace a prescribed treatment, and it cannot promise a number on a blood test. Individual response varies enormously with age, diet, activity, health status and consistency of use. We say so on every page, because a reader who buys on the strength of an overstated promise is a reader we have failed — and in this category the cost of that failure can be more than money.

Our editorial approach
Claims we will not make
No invented statistics, no fabricated customer counts, no before-and-after numbers we cannot substantiate, and no countdown timers or manufactured scarcity. We do not claim a product treats, cures or prevents anything.
How we frame products
Featured products are described in terms of what they are designed to support, with the caveats attached. We use words like “may” and “varies” where those are the honest words, even when a stronger one would convert better.
Research, cited and linked
Where we mention a study, we link it so you can read it yourself. We also state plainly when the research concerns a single ingredient rather than the finished product — which, in this category, is almost always the case.
Advertising, disclosed up front
Our homepage article is a paid advertorial and is labelled as one at the very top of the page, above the header, before any content. Nothing about that arrangement is buried in a footnote.
Safety notes stay visible
Warnings about medication interactions, pregnancy, and speaking to a doctor before starting anything new sit in the body of the page, not only in the small print at the bottom.
Corrections
If something we publish is inaccurate or has gone out of date, write to us and we will review it. Formulations, labels and pricing change; we would rather fix a page than defend it.
Transparency about commercial relationships
Health Story is a commercially supported website. The homepage article is sponsored content, and the links to the featured product are affiliate links. If a reader goes on to purchase something after following one of those links, this website may receive compensation from the advertiser or its affiliate network.
That compensation does not add anything to the price a reader pays, and it does not buy a guarantee of positive coverage — the caveats above sit on the same page as the promotion. Full details are set out in our Advertising Disclaimer.
Who we write for
Our audience is general-interest: adults who are paying attention to their metabolic health, who are not clinicians, and who want a straightforward explanation before trying anything new. Content is written in US English and reflects US consumer-privacy expectations, including the rights described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not provide medical, legal, financial or professional advice of any kind, and nothing on this website should be treated as such. Talk to your own doctor or pharmacist before starting a supplement, particularly if you take prescription medication, are managing a diagnosed condition, or are pregnant or nursing.
